Kindergarten Remuera children playing

Bright and engaging environment

ACG Remuera Early Learning School provides a modern, spacious environment specifically designed for children to grow and explore. Previously operating as Remuera Discovery Express Childcare Centre, our highly regarded preschool has been helping children take the first steps on their educational journey for over 10 years.

Our warm, welcoming, and positive atmosphere encourages children to thrive, while our inquiry and play-based curriculum captures their natural curiosity, creativity and sense of wonder.

Our team of highly experienced early childhood educators focus on developing happy, confident young learners. We highlight individual and group learning activities and work alongside the children to provide the best learning outcomes and maximise their potential. Our purpose-built facility also boasts a vibrant playground area, an indoor gymnasium and outdoor soccer turf.

Meet Centre Manager: Kelly Quah

As Centre Manager at ACG Remuera Early Learning School (ELS), Kelly Quah loves to see children thrive and grow as they become happy and confident young learners.

With her career in education spanning over 15 years in both Singapore and New Zealand, Kelly shifted her focus to early childhood education eight years ago. And as a fully qualified ECE teacher, she has been teaching and managing preschools in New Zealand ever since.

Before joining our team, Kelly was already familiar with the ACG Schools group, as her daughter currently attends ACG Sunderland in West Auckland. So, when the opportunity came up to manage ACG Remuera ELS, she jumped at the chance.

"I was especially attracted to ACG Remuera ELS due to the amazing space they have and the lovely teachers I met. The centre is very warm and nurturing, which is incredibly important, and all of the children seem really calm and happy."

Meet the team

ACG Remuera Early Learning School has four rooms which are each led by a fully-qualified team leader.
They are supported by qualified teachers, teachers in training and teacher aides.

Braiden Yang

Kia Ora!

I feel that creating relationships with the tamariki and whãnaus is vital in each tamariki's learning and development within an early childhood environment. I enjoy project-based work and experiences I can engage with tamariki, kaiako and whãnau alike. I feel that tamariki can really benefit from tuakana teina as each tamariki offers a unique view and perspective, which makes learning interesting and a reflective process for myself.

I enjoy working in a natural environment as I fell that tamariki should be able to feel and enjoy every element and aspect of the Whenua. The nature offers children provocations and curiosity for learning.

Amy Waring

Kia ora!

I was born and raised in Meadowbank Auckland and now live in Stonefields. After finishing school at Baradene College, I studied a Bachelor in Education (Teaching) in Early Childhood Education, which I completed in 2012. I have been teaching at the centre for four years now (my first year I was in the Kowhai Room and for the last three years I have been Assistant Head Teacher in our Preschool). As an early childhood teacher, I believe children are competent and capable explorers who have the ability to make their own decisions and take control of their own learning. My role is therefore to support, facilitate and work alongside children in creating opportunities for them to explore their interests and discover what it means to be a true life long learner.  This is ultimately achieved by establishing positive relationships with children and their whanau/families.

I am very excited to get to know and work alongside all the children who continue or start their learning journey here in the Kiwi Room. I am always available to talk to and support parents.

Vasudha Sharma

Namaste! Kia Ora!

My name is Vasudha Sharma. I was born and brought up in India. I have completed my degree in a bachelor of education. I have also completed a graduate diploma in mentoring and professional leadership.

With sound experience of 12 years in teaching back in my home country, I decided to move to New Zealand in February 2018. I came to Rotorua which is a beautiful tourist destination and have enjoyed spending time there. During that period, I worked part time in Skids (OSKAR) as a programme assistant. I moved to Auckland in May 2019, after receiving my teacher registration from New Zealand Education Council. Since I have a great passion for working with children and love to support a child’s personal, academic and social progress during the crucial stage of brain development, I decided to be an ECE teacher.

I am excited to be heading the Baby Room at ACG Remuera. I look forward to supporting your family and helping your children to settle into our warm and loving environment.

Manju Goyal

My name is Manju Goyal and I am originally from India. I have been living in New Zealand for the last 17 years.  I am married and have two children; one is 9 and the other is 13 years old.

I currently hold two degrees; one is a Bachelor of Arts from India and the other is in Early Childhood Education from New Zealand.  I became an early childhood teacher because I am passionate about working with young children and believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a warm, safe, healthy, nurturing and stimulating environment to foster their learning and development. My personal philosophy for teaching and learning values is founded on the importance of respect, relationships and joy.

I love working here and I am very excited to meet you and your child.
